This is the first time I have made a recording of original music like this.

The first track (Can He Dance) was inspired by the 'Safety in Swing Dance' discussions I have been involved with over the past couple of years and it's ideas are very close to me. For that reason, at least 50% of revenue from that track, and 25% of revenue from the digital album (and 20% of the physical copies) will be donated to SARSVL (www.supportafterrapeleeds.org.uk)

The second track is a little ditty about a girl who realises she doesn't need to partner dance to enjoy a song!

The third track is inspired by my baby son, Joseph, and the final track by my love of singing and dancing.

On the physical CD (first 100 copies only), a fifth track is included; It's a Good Day, by Peggy Lee and Dave Barbour.

The laid-back groove of the Brooks Prumo Orchestra hits the sweet spot. This is fine swing without any try-hard hype. The studio mix is balanced, and it hops and slides like music should (unlike some other contemporary jazz). "Out of Nowhere" is outstanding: inspired arrangement, knockout playing, genuine emotion.
